Hampton police warn of rash of thefts from vehicles (The Virginian-Pilot)

HAMPTON A rash of thefts from cars across the city since Dec. 3 has police warning drivers to park in areas with lights, lock their doors and take other precautions. Windows on cars should be rolled up tight, alarms should be used and valuables should be kept out of sight, police wrote in a news release. Devices such as portable GPS systems should be hidden or removed from vehicles.
