This product is so much easier for my GPS than attaching it to the windshield.
2 Stars great design, poorly manufactured
I bought two of these, his and hers. I tested mine out first. Worked great initially, so I set up hers. The ball joint snapped off of hers the first time I tried to put the cradle on (which I remembered reading in another review, but there were so many positive reviews I figured it was one guy’s bad luck.) I swapped her and tried gluing it, but at such a weak point, no glue was strong enough. She just gave me the “good one” back because now her cradle pops off the ball joint if you move it the slightest bit. The size, the weight, the grip and everything are nice on this and it seemed like a good price. But since they seem to have a wide tolerance on the molding which would allow one to be too tight to even work, and the other to be so loose it only works for a couple of weeks, I would guess your chances of getting a good one ar pure luck.
5 Stars So good it got stolen!
Loved it while I had it. I had gotten tired of my GPS falling off the windshield so I bought this item. It kept the GPS right in my eyesight but out of the way. It did not slide around and pretty much was awesome. The only thing I can complain about was the fact that it was pretty hard to take the attachment on and off but that is really not neccisary anyway. As I said it was so good that when someone broke my window and stole my GPS they took it to!
1 Stars Arrived dirty and cracked and ball DOES NOT fit in Garmin 260W socket.
Don’t buy this item. It will break or crack Garmin bracket. The ball is TOO BIG for the bracket. You will likely end up returning this item. A waste of time. It looked like a good design, but something is amiss with the ball socket. Maybe Garmin has a patent on the mechanism, but this one stinks.

I just received my portable mini friction mount took it out for a test drive and it was great I did some sharp turns and it did not move at all. It fits perfectly on my Garmin 265T.
