I like this one so much better then the one that came with my tom tom. The old one used to actually fall off when i was driving! But this one has never failed me, even on the worse streets of NYC. This thing really grips!! Mine is set up on the dash instead of the windsheld and its peferct because of the long neck, it extends right to me and i dont have to reach far to hit the screen. Everyone should get this!

The default windshield mount is cheap and flimsy, but this unit has better clinging power with an extended adjustable arm. I have the TomTom ONE 3rd edition, and it works just as advertised.

I bought this mounting arm 2 days before a spring break road trip. I had never used this device for long trips and didn’t want to hold it or leave it in the seat. Our road trip covered the desert temps, as well as the snow covered mountains of Flagstaff, AZ. Not ONCE, did the mounting arm come loose from the windshield and fall. Even through all the road vibrations the arm stuck like a rock!. For my Ford truck, the arm worked great and I just moved it up the windshield to make it stick out a bit farther without blocking my line of sight on the road.
I would recommend this to other owners without a second thought!
