The FD-435 comes with the For Dummies GPS Navigation software, which boasts a familiar and easy-to-use interface worthy of the Dummies name. A 4.3″ widescreen LCD color touch-screen with 480 x 272 resolution makes for easy navigation in both 2D and 3D map viewing.
Bluetooth and FM Transmitter
The FD-435’s built-in Bluetooth interface lets you make and receive hands-free calls (cell phone with Bluetooth capability required) while you’re on the road.
A built-in FM transmitter allows you to stream turn-by-turn voice prompts over your car stereo via the FM frequency–just dial in your tuner and you’re all set. This will also work in conjunction with the Bluetooth interface, allowing you to hear call audio through your vehicle’s speakers.
Ultra-Portable
This GPS unit’s compact design means you can take it anywhere, and the built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery gives you up to 4 hours of use on a single charge.
