User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars Garmin c330
Great product, excellent price. This refurbished GPS is in like new condition, works as advertised, I use it in South America (Paraguay) after previously upload the free regional maps from ProyectoMapear.com.ar .-

It takes some time to get the satellites found the first time, but with a little patience (30/40 minutes) you will get this device working for you. This only happens the first time, then it takes less than a minutes.

You may think it’s a little bulky compared with the new Nuvi models but inside the car appears unnoticeable. Easy to detach from the holder in order to take it with you or put it in a safe place.

5 Stars Garmin for the Truck
I have another Garmin in the motor home and after being on the road for 3 months I found I couldn’t live without one in my truck. They save so much time that I don’t know how I live’d without one before.

This is a great buy for a second GPS and it has its own built in battier that you just plug in and it will charge up. Then you can take it anywhere. Such a good unit. 5 stars on this side.

4 Stars simple and to the point
not a lot of “features” to get in the way. This is a great tool for any tool box. the loaded map is old so if you have new roads in your area you might need an update. its efficient. i use it every day doing service calls. up to 6 locations and over 1000 miles a week. the battery will last 6- 7 hrs of continuous use.

1 Stars It will disappoint you eventually!!!
I liked it when I got it. I liked it for a whole year. It worked fine. The maps that came with the device were little outdated, but since the highways in my state are all pretty old, there were no major problems.

The disappointment comes two months ago, when I do what the manufacturer recommends and UPDATE the software on the unit.

It is now UNUSABLE and garmin’s customer support is abhorrent. I would NOT recommend you get a garmin unless you’re ok with being ignored when you tell them there’s a problem.

Oh, and the outdated maps, you can upgrade them FOR $70!!! That’s 3/4 of the price of the unit! Disgust is probably the best word to describe my overall feeling about this product.

4 Stars Compared to mine
I don’t own this personally but these are what we use in our cities ambulances(I’m a paramedic). The product is rugged. Very well built and looks like it could take a beaten. However when i have the chance i throw my personnel GPS on the dash. This GPS is really inaccurate compared to the mio i own. The reception on this particular Garmin is however much better. But I don’t know if its because they connect a huge cable to it and control it from base. Comparing again to the mio i have, the roads are too close and its hard to see if you are supposed to go straight or take an exit. I like the routes this garmin chooses better than my mio. If we are talking the extra mile this unit has it. The POI’s are a lot better. It warns you of accidents and traffic ahead which mine doesn’t. This unit is mostly being compared to mine. I have used my other partners GPS and they are 100x worse. I would buy this second to the mio.
