4 Stars Careful - doesn’t fit a Garmin Oregon
I got this for my Garmin Oregon 400t GPS due to recommendations on the purchase sit for the Oregon. Said it fit both the Colorado and Oregon series. The mounting clip DOES fit the Oregon, but the charging cable connection to the Oregon is obstructed by the the bend direction of the the connection (bends 180 degrees in the wrong direction to fit properly!). My understanding is that there is a cable that is specifically made for the Oregon (and I would guess that THAT cable would not fit the Colorado!). The mounting system itself works as advertised however, and I will be using that for road trips. I ordered a new Oregon specific cable to replace that part of the vehicle mounting system.

Great kit for easy GPS use on the road. We use it all the time.

windshild mount is great. Works well, suction cup holds well.
power cord is very good construction. Might want to be sure it really works with your unit.
It is the wrong way for Oregon. It will word but the wire will stick out to the front of the unit instead of the rear as it should.
I give it 4 stars because Garmin should be more clear about this.

This product sorprised me, is very badly designed.
The Gps has fallen twice and I just started using this a week ago. The circular disc doesn`t stay in my dash.
The end of the cable which goes to the gps is reversed so you`ll get the fat side on the screen side. Forget about using a landyard cord if you plan to use the cigarrete lighter cable.
I`m very frustated with my purchase.

The product is not meant for the Oregon , though it’s listed as a ‘recommended accessory”. The connector is at a right angle and does not fit properly.

Purchased this product to augment the windshield mount that came with my Magellan 1412 GPS and it is exactly what I needed. Adheres well to the windshield and the pivot features are adequate for everything I need it for.

Does what it’s supposed to do. It’ds much slower than USB, but I have an older GPS unit.

Perhaps is a expensive cable, specially if you don’t earn dollars, but it is perfect to complete Google Earth software.
I tried it in my contry, Costa Rica, and I am very happy with the results.
3 Stars Old Technology Well Done
The cable works as it should. Just be careful to note that this needs a Serial port connection at your computer. My laptop on which I made my map and waypoints doesn’t have one, only USB connections. Luckily I have an older desktop with a serial port and transferred my work there to download it to the eTrex. I’ve heard of a serial-to-USB converter cable, that would allow you to connect to a USB port, but I’ve had no experience with one.

Product slides into place quickly and works exactly as described. Cable is long enough to conveniently use the GPS real time with a mobile computer.
